Hi, I’m John. As Political Education and Training Officer my role is to organize events and training to give every member the confidence to play an active role.

I worked in local government for many years, mostly in children’s social services and am now a freelancer advising councils on social care for both adults and children.

I re-joined the Labour Party in 2022 and have found it hugely rewarding to get politically active again. I’d encourage all members to play an active role in the party, whether campaigning, policy making, communicating, organising or fundraising. The national party provides great training resources to help you and I will work to complement this with local events.
