This General Election is your first chance in decades to elect a new, hardworking MP to represent you and North Somerset. Add these dates to your diary to make sure you get to have your say.

Register to vote

To have your say in the 4 July General Election you must register to vote before 18 June.

Vote by post or proxy

Alternatively you can register to vote by post or proxy before 19 June 19 and 26 June respectively.

Vote in person

To vote in person you must bring an accepted form of photo ID to the polling station. If you don’t have one, you can apply for a free voter ID before 26 June.

You will receive a poll card in the post before the election. It will tell you where your local polling station is.
