She is the initiator and campaigner of British Chinese Should Not Live in Fear, a member of the National Union of Journalists, a columnist for Financial Times Chinese, a volunteer for Oxfam, the initiator and founder of Jung Chang Book Club and Foodie Club, a former Chinese teacher at Clifton College, and a wife and mother.
