North Somerset District Council
North Somerset Council is made up of 50 councillors representing wards across two parliamentary constituencies — North Somerset and Weston-super-Mare.
North Somerset Council is run by a partnership administration formed between the Liberal Democrats and Independent Group, the Labour Group, the Green Group, the Portishead Independents Group, and the Independents Group.
North Somerset Council’s Executive carries out functions that are not the responsibility of any other part of the council. Three Labour councillors — Catherine Gibbons, Hannah Young, and James Clayton — are members of the Executive.
The Labour Group has 10 members, two of whom represent wards in the parliamentary constituency of North Somerset and eight of whom represent wards in the parliamentary constituency of Weston-super-Mare.
